LCUGA 2024

The 8th installment of the Linguistics Conference at the University of Georgia (LCUGA 2024) took place on February 17 and 18th in Athens, GA.

The theme of the conference was "Modeling Language." We were proud to welcome two plenary speakers: Luis Ulloa (SUNY: University at Buffalo) and Dr. Sashank Varma (Georgia Tech).

Additionally, we hosted two special sessions:

  • "Bridging the Gap: Integrating Second Language Acquisition Research into Effective Language Instruction"
  • "An Exploration of Tense and Aspect in Minoritized Varieties"
