Joshua is a first year PhD student. His interests are sociolinguistics and language acquisition.  He has been teaching English as a second language for eight years which has shown him the struggles learners face in the classroom. His goal is to research different teaching methods to help students, especially those with limited education, learn more effectively. 

Education:

B.A. in Linguistics and Romance Languages (Spanish and French) with minors in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - University of Georgia
