Meg is from Holden Beach, North Carolina and received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in linguistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is now a fifth-year Ph.D. student at UGA with research interests in sociolinguistics, forensic linguistics and indigenous languages. Currently, Meg is working on her QP2 on Afro-Latine identity in Georgia. Please reach out to Meg via email for CV or other questions.

The Linguistics Society at UGA will be hosting the Linguistics Conference at University of Georgia (LCUGA 2024) on February 17-18th (in-person) in Athens, GA.

This summer, Ph.D. student Meg Fletcher participated in a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to study Zulu in South Africa for 8 weeks.
