The Linguistics Society at the University of Georgia presentation of the 7th Annual Linguistics Conference at UGA took place on October 9th and 10th, 2021! The central focus of was ''Language and Connection.'' We hosted presentations with creative interpretations of the central theme and that span academic fields, as well as connected academia with the larger community. We are proud to have welcomed our plenary speakers, Dr. Lelia Glass of Georgia Tech and Dr. Robin Dodsworth of North Carolina State University, who shared their insight on topics related to this theme.
LCUGA7 was for the first time simulcast on Gather, which allowed us to welcome virtual presentations and attendees from all over the world in a highly interactive format.
