Emmy is a second-year MA student who graduated cum laude from Ball State University in Spring 2017 with a B.A. in Telecommunications. She also received minors in TESOL, creative writing, and French. She went on to teach English as a second language in both France (2017-2019) and South Korea (2020-2022) and helped produce an Crow e-learning platform for The Language Conservancy. She is the co-founder of UGA's Korean Conversation Club (KCC) and works as the secretary and treasurer. Her primary research interests are Korean, Loanword Adaptation, Phonetics and Phonology, Language Variation, and Sociolinguistics.
