Linguistics Ph.D. Candidate, Rachel Olsen, presented "It's All in How You Say It: The Prosody of Emotion" in the 2019 3MT™ Competition April 10th, 2019.

The event is a research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland.

Linguistics graduate student, Kyle Vanderniet, will present a talk about his work at Emory University May 20th, at 3pm in Modern Languages, Room 201.

Congratulations to Dr. Vera Lee-Schoenfeld, Associate Professor of Linguistics and Adjunct faculty in Germanic and Slavic Studies, for receiving the university's highest early career teaching honor!

The newly formed UGA Linguistics Club is the first undergraduate-lead Linguistics organization at UGA.

Andrew Bray, UGA Linguistics Graduate Student studying sociolinguistics, had an interview with ABC News 4 - Charleston, SC. Andrew's research suggesting hockey players adopt Canadian accents is discussed.
