University of Georgia Linguistics Faculty and Graduate Students presented at the 2018 American Dialect Society annual conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, January 4-7, 2018.

Dr. Keith Langston presented a paper "Corpus planning and corpus data: Language advice and actual usage in Croatian" at the 12th Annual Meeting of the Slavic Linguistics Society, September 21-24 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. 

Dr. Chamorro spent time this summer collecting data to investigate temporal reference in Tenetehára. She found that the language has a ‘graded past tense system’ with three degrees of remoteness and an evidentiality system that conflates temporal and source of reported information.
