Tucker received his undergraduate degrees in Linguistics and German from the University of Georgia, graduating Magna Cum Laude in the spring of 2021. He is primarily interested in sociolinguistics and discourse analysis. More specifically, Tucker focuses on how various intersectional identities are navigated and negotiated, linguistically and otherwise, across rural and urban spaces of the American South. His most recent research has focused on the LGBTQ+ community.
Tucker is also a Future Faculty Fellow for the year of 2025, selected to partake in a cohort of 15 Ph.D. students/instructors from various departments across campus to develop and reflect on their teaching capabilities. In this program, Tucker leads T.A. cafés with other cohort members and serves as a leader for the university's graduate and TA communities.
